Marijuana: Safer than Alcohol?

A lot of support for Medical Marijuana, and legalizing Marijuana comes from supporters touting comparisons with alcohol; that marjiuana is less dangerous to health than alcohol consumption. The FDA doesn’t exactly back these ‘benefits’ but many people believe them. What do you think?

There’s a groundswell of support – and some opposition – to a movement to legalize marijuana in Colorado by the 2012 election. Breckenridge, CO voters recently decriminalized possession of up to an ounce of pot, following in Denver’s footsteps, which passed a similar measure in 2005.

The All-Wales Convention (2007) prepared the ground for a possible referendum on full law-making powers for the Welsh assembly on or before the next assembly election in 2011 by gauging public opinion. In other words, should Wales have a more powerful assembly, more like the Scottish Parliament?

Traian Basescu, Romania’s incumbent president, has won the first round of the country’s presidential elections.

The victory on Sunday will allow him to face Mircea Geoana, the leftist leader, in runoff elections scheduled for December 6.
