Wisconsin – Anti Union Bill. For or against?

A new Politics/Elections poll has been created.

Wisconsin was the first state in the nation to give all public sector workers collective bargaining rights, in 1959. Gov. Scott Walker’s budget repair bill – to strip collective bargaining rights from most public sector unions – has sparked days of demonstrations, and a walkout by State Democrats. Walker’s plan is expected to easily pass the state Assembly, which Republicans control by a wide margin. Their margin in the Senate is narrower, and a few GOP Senators have expressed reservations about it. What do you think?

Should Google Executive Wael Ghonim take a political role in Egypt?

A new Politics/Elections poll has been created.

Google marketing executive Wael Ghonim, one of the key organizers of the Egypt uprising was detained and held by Egyptian authorities for 12 days. He organized the revolution on Facebook and Twitter and plans to write a book about the effect of social media on political activism called “Revolution 2.0.” Should he take a political role in Egypt?

Does Mubarak’s Resignation Mean Trouble for Egypt’s Coptic Christians?

Coptic Christians comprise 10% of Egypt’s population. Tensions between Egypt’s Muslims and Coptics have risen in recent years, most notably through a Christmas suicide bombing in front of a Coptic Church that killed 20. Coptic Christian leader Pope Shenouda expressed support for President Hosni Mubarak in recent weeks, fearing that his departure would cause chaotic conditions that would be even more dangerous to Coptic Christians. On the other hand, many Coptics manned the protest lines with Muslims, uniting as Egyptians against the regime, and a U.S. religious freedom expert says that Mubarak’s resignation is good news for Coptics, as it offers hope for stability in the country.
