The Poll “Are Super PACs a positive or negative influence on US politics?” was created Feb 11,2012

The 2012 Presidential election is attracting record funds into so called Super PACs which first emerged in the 2010 election. The U.S. Supreme Court held in Citizens United v. Federal Election Commission that government may not prohibit unions and corporations from making independent expenditures about politics. Soon after, in Speechnow.org v. FEC, the Federal Court of Appeals for the D.C. Circuit held that contributions to groups that only make independent expenditures could not be limited.Do you think Super PACs are good or bad for democracy?

Over the weekend of Feb 4th & 5th, 2012 a draft resolution on Syria was supported by 13 of the 15 members of the UN Security Council, when it was put to a vote but was vetoed by Russia and China. Should the West work with Arab nations to take action outside the UN similar to the formation of the Contact Group on Libya?
