But, the debate on whether it is possible for mobiles to interfere with navigational equipment continues: Some say it’s possible, others not, some even think it infringes on civil liberty. Until it can be proven either way, we may not seen an end to the ban. What do you think?

Started on 1st December 1988, World AIDS Day is about raising money, increasing awareness, fighting prejudice and improving education. The World AIDS Day theme for 2009 is ‘Universal Access and Human Rights’. World AIDS Day is important in reminding people that HIV has not gone away, and that there are many things still to be done. According to UNAIDS estimates, there are now 33.4 million people living with HIV, including 2.1 million children. During 2008 some 2.7 million people became newly infected with the virus and an estimated 2 million people died from AIDS. Are we doing enough to combat AIDS – in developing and Western countries?

A lot of support for Medical Marijuana, and legalizing Marijuana comes from supporters touting comparisons with alcohol; that marjiuana is less dangerous to health than alcohol consumption. The FDA doesn’t exactly back these ‘benefits’ but many people believe them. What do you think?

There’s a groundswell of support – and some opposition – to a movement to legalize marijuana in Colorado by the 2012 election. Breckenridge, CO voters recently decriminalized possession of up to an ounce of pot, following in Denver’s footsteps, which passed a similar measure in 2005.

The Los Angeles City Council is on the verge of adopting regulations after two years of debate and almost 13 years after voters passed Proposition 215, the Compassionate Use Act.
The proposed law would ban sales of marijuana which lawmakers say are for-profit, in violation of state law. Dispensary operators say they do not sell it, but collect donations to recoup their costs, but they fear the ordinance will be used against them. Should the regulations be passed to shut them down?
